In mid Februrary 2013 I started my two months tenure as a researcher in residence in the faculty of theology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands. My research area is Chan/Zen Practice in China and the West. A few days arter my arrival, my hosting professor of Buddhism Andre van der Braak inivted me to sit in his class of Mahayana Buddhism for which I was expected to teach  a couple of lectures later on. Generic spirituality. We offer courses in spiritual topics, especially in relation to arts and therapy, and also retreat facilities, especially Buddhist. The centre has a particular focus on ancient Greek religion and the universal shamanic-mystical heritage.

ZT & Therapeutic Space

We have just completed a workshop on Zen Therapy and Therapeutic Space in Berriz in northern Spain. This went very well and was interesting especially for the discussion of the effects of spontaneous action, intentional action, and unintentional effect in social as well as therapeutic relations.
